BioLately I've been pondering the murky depths of the kinesthetic roles we're resigned to by gender as well as the residence of the Epic tradition in Literature in the modern world. In less cerebral moments I think about Costume and Textile history and construction, History in general, Cooking and Baking (two very different pursuits that just happen to be done in the same domestic space.)The macabre , Holiday decorating of any kind(sometimes a girl such a I needs some mindless tacky, ok!) Wine, Traveling, Gardening, Mayhem, the art of parties, and much, much more! I have a passion for Middle Eastern Dance. I take between 5 and 7 classes a week. My current class schedule is heavily weighted to Tribal and Tribal Fusion and Central Asian Dance styles including Tajik, Uzbek, Persian Classical, Azeri, and Bandar as well as a deep love of Indian dance forms including Bharatanatyam and Odissi. I also take one Egyptian class to round things out and give myself perspective.
